Our 18-hole layout is set on 115 acres of tree-covered rolling hills and provides challenging play and a rewarding golf experience for golfers of every skill level. Impeccably maintained year-round, Elmwood's course continuously attracts those who demand the finest playing conditions. The course typically opens in early April and closes at the first snowfall.
One of the biggest benefits of golf at Elmwood Country Club is that tee times are generally not required. This makes fitting in a quick round of golf a breeze. Finishing a round of golf in under four hours is common at Elmwood. Just head up to Elmwood and the first tee is yours.
Thanks to our enthusiastic membership, Elmwood offers one of the best golfing experiences anywhere. In addition to regularly scheduled men’s and ladies’ play, members may participate in a variety of fun-filled special events. Our award-winning PGA staff professionals complete our reputation for the highest standards of excellence.
Men's Golf
Men’s golf has many different events throughout the season, individual golf, team golf, a 2-man league, and interclub matches against other Central Iowa country clubs.
Women's Golf
Women’s golf has individual and team events all summer long. Tuesday is Ladies Day, there are events every Tuesday from May 1st - August.
Junior Golf
The junior golf program runs the months of June and July. It includes instruction, education on rules and etiquette, and competition for ages 5-17. Elmwood participates in junior interclub matches during the summer with Ames GCC, Newton CC, and Grinnell CC. These interclub matches have been running for nearly 50 years.
Guest Fees
Elmwood Country Club is a private club, but members are allowed to invite guests to play.*
Daily (Monday-Friday): $33.00 + Tax (18 Holes) - $20.00 + Tax (9 Holes)
Weekends (Saturday, Sunday, or, Holiday): $38.50 + Tax (18 Holes) - $23.00 + Tax (9 Holes)
Weekly: $165.00 + Tax
Two Day Weekend: $66.00 + Tax
*Non-Member inside a 25-mile radius may play as a guest twice a year, excluding special events.
